Welcome to the new website for Riverhead Parish Council

Feedback from users of accessibility tools would be very much appreciated to ensure this website is working effectively.

Riverhead Parish Council, which has nine members meets at 7.30pm on the third Monday of each month in the Committee Room at the Village Hall. Parishioners are always welcome to attend these meetings and have the opportunity to raise matters of local concern in Open Council near the beginning of proceedings. The two District Councillors and the County Councillor also often attend. The Council is involved in local planning decisions and highways matters, and also owns and runs the Village Hall, the Riverhead Parkland and two areas of allotments.

The Parish Clerk, who can be contacted via email has an office in the Village Hall, which is next to St Mary’s Church.

The Village Hall and Committee Room are available for hire.

Contact the Parish Clerk by email or by telephone 01732 461278 for details and availability.

Riverhead Parish is very long and narrow, extending southwards from Longford Bridges, where the A224 London Road crosses the River Darent on the edge of Dunton Green, down through the woodlands towards Weald. However, virtually the whole population (2,661 at the time of the 2007 census) lives in the area north of the A21.

A map of Riverhead Parish and its boundaries and the information board found in Alison’s Garden in the corner of the car park can be found on this website.
